This recipe is an absolute banger!

Textured Vegetable Protein: Textured vegetable protein (TVP) is made from soybeans and contains all 9 essential amino acids making it a complete protein. TVP is a great source of dietary fiber and contains little to no fat which makes it an excellent alternative to meat products. TVP is naturally gluten free and contains many important micronutrients. Eating foods that are higher in protein can help lower your appetite.
INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 cup (138g) Bob’s Red Mill Textured Vegetable Protein (TVP)
1 tsp (6g) Organic Better Than Bouillon Seasoned Vegetable Base
8oz Water
8oz (227g) Organic Tomato Paste
1/2 (75g) Red Bell Pepper (diced)
1/2 (50g) Medium Yellow Onion (diced)
2 Celery Ribs (minced)
2-3 cloves Garlic (minced)
1 tbsp Braggs Liquid Aminos
1 tbsp Robbie’s Worcestershire Vegan, Pure & Mild
1 tbsp Walden Farms Pancake Syrup
1 tsp Dijon Mustard
1/4 tsp Liquid Smoke
2 tsp Chili Powder
1 1/2 tsp Smoked Paprika
1/2 tsp Sweet Paprika
1 tsp Onion Powder
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1/4 tsp Cumin
Pinch Sea Salt
Pinch Ground Black Pepper
TOPPINGS:
1 Pretzel Bun
1 slice Violife 100% Vegan Just Like Smoked Provolone Slices
DIRECTIONS:
Rehidrate TVP. In a separate bowl, add 1 1/2 cup TVP and 1 cup of hot water and set aside. Combine 1 tsp vegetable bullion and 1 cup of hot water and set aside. Prepare your vegetables and seasonings. In a large sauce pan, saute onion and garlic until flagrant. Incorporate the remaining ingredients, let simmer for 10-15 minutes. Serve immediately and enjoy!
